Silicon Valley Representative Anna Eschoo on website failing

California Representative Anna Eschoo questioning the contractors of CGI on the constant failures of the website. Eschoo compares the website to Ebay and ProFlowers on major holidays.

Jonathan Ward says:

How sad that common sense has to come across as speaking truth to power and
being note-worthy. But that is where we are at with this administration
filled with the public service cliche of arrogant incompetents.

Claudia MOnteverdi says:

Brava Anna, well said and right on the button. I imagine the Obama
HitSquads will be all over her next year, we should all be alert to any
dirty deeds and help her all that we can….. As to the volume excuse ? It
was unworthy and an insult to the taxpayers. This bunch is just a
no-talent, lazy bunch of shirkers and slackers..

Democrat Slams Obamacare Launch Excuses: ‘There Are Thousands of Websites
That Carry Far More Traffic.BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff
Rep. Anna Eshoo (D., Calif.) had sharp criticism for the Obamascare launch
Thursday during a hearing on its troubled rollout, saying as a
representative of Silicon Valley that there was no excuse for the website
to not be prepared for the traffic.

“This is the 21st century,” she said. “It’s 2013. There are thousands of
websites that handle concurrent volumes far larger than what healthcare.govwas faced with. You keep speaking about unexpected volumes, Ms. Campbell,
and that really sticks in my craw. I have to tell you that. Because as I
said, there are thousands of websites that carry far more traffic. So, I
think that’s really kind of a lame excuse. Amazon and eBay don’t crash the
week before Christmas, and ProFlowers doesn’t crash on Valentine’s Day.”

Tina Rocha says:

Outstanding Ms. Eschoo. However, I can’t think of any other position you
could take on this as teenagers in Silicon Valley could have done a better
job. More importantly, based upon this malfeasance can you truly trust
those in charge of this website to have the ability to administer
healthcare to tens of millions? To me not a chance. I have kids, a husband
and a budget to deal with and thus far our family premiums have gone up
72%. We simply can’t afford this and will have to pay cash.
